The Wedge Brewery. Asheville. NC

& Tin Can Pizzeria.

The Wedge Brewery lies in the River’s Arts District in West Asheville @ 125B Roberts Street.  Stroll along side the French Broad River and check out all of the local art galleries.  Play corn hole, and grab some good brews while dining railroad side with close friends.

On this fine overcast evening, Miss Nikki, Ty Ty, and I shared some Belgian Super Saison and High Gravity Third Rail Barley wine.  The Food Truck: Tin Can Pizzeria.  We split the Luscious Jackson Pizza Pies: Caramelized Onion, bay cream, and walnut pizza; Margherita with basil, cremini mushroom, and pepperoni pizza; and Parm and Mozzarella with mushroom and pepperoni pizza.  Unbleached flour and hormone-free cheese! Thanks Ty for checking! Thanks for the good company…and Happy Belly my friends.

Enjoy,

Miss Nicola

Sweet Theory Baking Co.

5 Points. Jacksonville, FL.

Sweet Theory
is located at 1243 King Street, in the Hip and Eclectic Five Points in downtown Jacksonville, FL.  Gluten Free and Vegan Bakery.

One of my best Gal friends, Miss Xtina brought me to Sweet Theory, a sweet little goodie shop she and her honey stumbled upon one fine morning. Cute and quaint with the smell of magically delicious baked good aroma filling my nostrils. We both ordered the Snickerdoodle Doughnut.  Yes it was more than Dandy. Holy Yum-oly! Best doughnut I have ever put in my mouth… and my belly was quite satisfied as well!!

Enjoy the Salivation,

Miss Nicola

Wicked Weeds. Brewery. Asheville.

Wicked Weeds Brewery is conveniently located at 91 Biltmore Ave, right next to the Orange Peel(one of the largest music venues in downtown Asheville.)
Wicked Weeds opened just a few short months ago, and always has a line out the front door.  When walking in the restaurant you will notice a lot of open space.  To the right lies the “main” dining room, to the left is a large table with community seating, which I personally am a big fan of! I say get to know your neighbors…!

Downstairs there is a “tasting room” and outdoor picnic tables, a big fan since the warmer weather!  The beer seems to always be great here! My favorite is the King Henry Saison, a high gravity “farmhouse beer” with a deep red color.  A new one I just tried was the Wicked Monk, which was created by both Wicked Weeds and the Thirsty Monk Brewery.  A Strong Belgian Ale brewed with Black Currants and Ancho Chili Peppers.  Holy Yum in my Mouth!!!

Fellow Foodie, Ty and I ordered the Cast Iron Choco Chip Cookie and Butter cream ice cream with Crystallized ginger for an appetizer.  It’s a thing we do.  Mister T ordered the Bison chilli, packed with bold flavors and the right amount of sweet and spicy!  For dinner we both had the Bison burger with fresh Pimento cheese and dehydrated Okra.  Perfect textures melting in the mouth.  The brussels sprouts were an added bonus…sweet and crunchy!

If a Local, or a Tourista… Wicked Weeds Brewery is a place worth checking out!

Enjoy,

Miss Nicole

The Junction.  Rivers Arts District.  Asheville.

It was a lovely weekend full of double dates and dining, living like Kings and Queens in Beer City, USA. The Junction has quickly become one of my personal favorite restaurants.  The Junction has a fun yet casual atmosphere with brick walls and windows through out, think a trendy downtown loft.  They feature Local artist that changes monthly, which adds a “gallery type feel.”

Southern local fare.  Always Farm to Table fresh.  Rich and decadent food.

For starters I ordered a Carrot and Cumin Soup with Cilantro, calmed my upset stomach.  Ty ordered Fried Oysters and Chicken Livers with Macro Greens and Cauliflower-Green Tomato Chow Chow.  Very tasty indeed… although I think almost anything fried could be… Tasty! Mister Michael ordered Fried Okra…always a favorite!  Miss Rebecca ordered Bibb Lettuce & Dijon Goat Cheese.

For an entree Rebecca ordered the Trout with Risotto,  and Veggies. Michael ordered the Classic Junction Burger.  Tyler and I split Pork Osso Bucco with Spaetzle (a German dumpling), Pickled Lima Beans, and Braised Collards.  Yum Yum Yum!!!

Love your Company, Take them to the other side of the train tracks for some good eats…the Southern way!

Love,

Miss Nicola
